How to Earn HMark Points
Every trade you make on Hype Market earns you HMark Points (HP). At the end of each month, a pool of real fees is divided among all point holders — proportional to how many points they earned. Trade more, earn more.
What Are HMark Points?
HMark Points are a non-transferable reward unit inside Hype Market. They track your contribution to platform activity and determine your share of the monthly fee distribution.
They're not a token. You can't send them, sell them, or use them outside of Hype Market.

How You Earn Points
Trading (The Main Engine)
For every $1 of trading volume, you earn 1 HMark Point. No cap, no limit.

This is the core engine. For active users, trading should represent 80%+ of total HP earned. Everything below adds on top.
Boosted Markets (2x)
Some markets are marked "Boosted" in the UI. In Boosted markets, you earn double points for the same fee.
Normal market: $100 in trade volume → 100 HP
Boosted market: $100 in trade volume → 200 HP

Market Creation Rewards
When you create a market and seed it with initial liquidity, you earn HP equal to the seed liquidity amount.

This directly incentivizes market creation and liquidity provision. More liquidity means tighter spreads for early traders, which attracts more volume.
💡 Market creation HP stacks with the "Create Your First Market" milestone quest (+10 HP). A user seeding $500 earns 500 HP (creation) + 10 HP (quest) = 510 HP total.
Resolution Rewards
Users who participate in resolving markets are rewarded or penalized based on accuracy:

Strong deterrent against wrong or malicious resolution
The 5:1 penalty-to-reward ratio ensures resolvers take accuracy seriously. A single wrong resolution costs the equivalent of 5 correct resolutions in HP.
Daily Login Streak
Log in each day (UTC) to earn a small bonus:

Just connect your wallet — no trade required to keep the streak alive. Skip a day and the streak resets to Day 1.
Monthly HP from a perfect 30-day streak: 30 HP (daily) + 10 + 25 + 50 (milestones) = 115 HP. Ongoing months without a streak break: ~80 HP.
These are intentionally small. Login streaks build daily habit, but trading is where the real points come from.
Referral Bonuses
When people you've referred earn HMark Points, you get extra points on top — without reducing theirs:

The quest system guides users toward behaviors that grow the protocol: trading volume, market exploration, new market liquidity, and network growth. Quests add a layer of guided HP on top of the core trading engine.
Design principle: Individual quest rewards are small (+2 to +12 HP) compared to a $100 trade earning 100 HP. The cumulative monthly total is what matters, not any single quest.

Monthly Epochs: How the Payout Works
Hype Market divides time into monthly epochs (calendar months, UTC).
During the Month
Every trade earns you points. The Points Pool (funded by 0.1% of all trading volume) grows as people trade across the platform.
The UI shows your estimated reward in real time:

All five layers stack. A creator who uses yield-bearing collateral, trades actively, and has referrals earns across every layer simultaneously.
Maximizing Your Points
Trade in Boosted markets. Same fee, double the points. Check the Boost badge.
Create markets and seed liquidity. You earn HP equal to your seed amount — $500 minimum gets you 500 HP instantly.
Resolve markets accurately. +100 HP per correct resolution adds up. But be careful: a wrong resolution costs -500 HP.
Keep your login streak alive. A perfect 30-day streak is 115 HP. Not huge, but free.
Invite active traders. Referral bonuses are 10% of your direct invites' points. Five active referrals can meaningfully increase your monthly total.
Complete quests. Daily and weekly quests add ~400–600 HP/month for engaged users — a meaningful boost for casual traders.
Trade consistently. Points reset each epoch. Steady activity every month beats one big burst followed by inactivity.
FAQ
Do my points carry over between months?
No. Points reset at the start of each epoch. Your lifetime total is tracked for profile stats and badges, but only the current month determines your pool share.
When do I get paid?
Points Pool rewards are credited shortly after the month ends (epoch settlement). The exact timing will be shown in the UI.
What token are rewards paid in?
Points Pool rewards are paid in the pool token (typically stablecoins). The denomination may vary.
Can I game the system by wash trading?
Each round-trip costs you real fees (1% + creator fee per trade) with no guarantee of earning them back. The system is designed so that the cost of faking volume exceeds the reward. Additional anti-abuse measures are in place.
Do quest rewards dominate the points system?
No. Quests are designed as bonuses, not primary income. A single $200 trade earns 200 HP — more than completing all 5 daily quests (16 HP) combined. For active users ($3,000+ monthly volume), trading + boosts represent 80%+ of total HP earned.
